Wengen, Switzerland

Each winter, the world’s best ski racers descend on the quaint mountain village of Wengen, Switzerland to compete in one of ski racing’s most historic World Cup races, the Lauberhorn. Racers top speeds approach 160 km/h on the 4.45 km downhill course, the fastest on the World Cup circuit.  The energy and excitement combined with the renowned Eiger and traditional Swiss culture is not to be missed.

6 Day Trip

  • Day 1 (Wed): Arrive in Zurich and transfer to Wengen. A short cable-car ride from the valley floor up to Wengen is the only way to reach the walking-only village.  Hotel check-in followed by an optional tour of Wengen.  Welcome reception and dinner to get to know your pro.
  • Day 2 (Thur): Guided skiing around the slopes of Wengen. Watch the final downhill training run and stop for a traditional Swiss fondue, all while being shadowed by the famous Eiger. The excitement and anticipation begins with the evening bib draw.
  • Day 3 - 5 (Fri  Sun):  Explore the varied terrain with your pro.  Then, it’s race time! Super-Combined Downhill (10:30 am) and Slalom (2:00 pm) on Friday, Downhill on Saturday and Slalom on Sunday. Apres-ski after the race.  Evening festivities include a public bib draw (for the next day’s race), an awards ceremony and dinner. There’s plenty of opportunity to continue celebrating late into the night. Transfer to Zurich on Sunday and hotel check-in.
  • Day 6 (Mon): Farewell and departure flight. #Longer itineraries can include additional guided ski days earlier in the week.
