Rob grew up in Vernon B.C. and started skiing at age 3. This early start to his skiing career is a major factor in his success to become a member of the Canadian Alpine Ski Team, which was from 1985 – 1997. During his 12-year career, he won a total 3-World Cup Downhill races, finished in the top three on 6-occasions and finished in the top 15 no fewer than 28-times. A 3-time Olympian ( 1988, 1992, 1994), Rob was inducted into the Canadian Ski hall of fame in the year 2000.

Throughout his career Rob has appeared in a number of films as a freeskier/stunt performer; including DesLauriers Films, Warren Miller, Greg Stump Productions and worked as a television commentator covering years of World Cup ski racing.

In 2004 Rob became head coach of the Canadian Women’s Ski Team. He lead the team to many successes leading up to and during the 2010 Winter Olympic Games. Recently retired from coaching the Canadian Alpine Ski Team, Rob now coaches for the Whistler Mountain Ski Club.
