Growing up skiing on the small ski hills of Nova Scotia, Dana moved to Whistler, BC when he was 18 years old and quickly climbed the ranks to become a member of the Canadian Alpine Ski Team; the first born and raised male from the Maritimes to achieve this. Here he spent three years competing on World Cup and Europa Cup tour stops including Beaver Creek Colorado, Val D’Isere France, Sestriere Italy, and Wengen Switzerland.
Following three successive right knee reconstruction surgeries during 1997 and 2000, he hung up his skis to pursue an education and the ‘real world’. He was between Whistler and Vancouver up until 2008. He then moved to California to be with his future wife. They got married in July 2009 and now live in Mill Valley, California (just north of San Francisco). Dana is Founder and President of Best of Both Golf & Ski. Having had the privilege of skiing and golfing in the breathtaking locations, in the company of the world renowned athletes, he looks forward to bringing the same kind of unforgettable experience to you.
