Anastasia Skryabina
- 2010 Winter Olympian
- 2007 & 2009 World Championship competitor
- 4-time Ukrainian National Champion
Born and raised in Ukraine, a love for skiing and the outdoors was instilled in Anastasia at a young age. Her mother was a reigning USSR National ski champion and her father was a Russian National Ski Team coach. Within a few years of being born she was put on skis and hasn’t looked back.
In 1998, Anastasia moved to Whistler British Columbia with her mother and two brothers to seek a life with better opportunities. She began training with the Whistler Mountain Ski Club in between races in Europe and North America. She qualified for the Ukrainian Alpine Ski Team in 2005 and went on to compete in numerous World Cup races, World Championships and the 2010 Winter Olympic Games.
Racing at the highest level did take it’s toll. At the end of the 2010 season Anastasia decided it was time to retire from ski racing and begin the next phase of her life. Now, still living in Whistler, she splits her time between practicing massage with her family business, studying to complete a degree is Human Kinetics and skiing as much as possible. Anastasia looks forward to sharing her passion for skiing with you during your next Best of Both ski trip.
