Philip Jonas has made his mark in the world of golf. A former US PGA Tour member (1987), Phillip has played over two hundred professional events and came out on top five times from 1986 to 2002. His achievements include championships at tournaments on South African, South American and Canadian Tours; the Canadian Tour QuebecTel Open Champion, 1999 Peru Open Champion, 1996 & 1997 Goodyear Classic Champion and 1990 South African PGA Tour. Nonetheless, Philip says he is most proud of his five years on the Asian Tour, where he consistently finished in the top forty on the money list. And then, in 2003 and 2004, Philip was awarded B.C. PGA Player of the Year.

Philip’s extensive teaching experience stretches back to 2001, when he instructed top Canadian Juniors in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Today Philip teaches at McCleery Golf Course in Vancouver, BC where he boasts a fine stable of Canadian Tour players and elite amateurs including a promising teen who recently competed in the Volvo China Open. Philip also serves on the Canadian Tour Board of Directors and enjoys a successful speaking and television hosting career, as evidenced by a recent stint as TSN/CTV commentator at the Bell Canadian Open. As a Best of Both golf teaching professional, Philip looks forward to helping you get the best out of your game.
